By using a sophisticated second-order analysis software, the effects of P-Δ, P-δ, structure imperfection, etc. can be well accounted in the structural design of steel buildings and structures. Hence, steel buildings and structures designed by using second-order analysis software will in general be more safe, effective and economical than those designed by using traditional first-order analysis software.
